Pleb City Studios Inc. is a not-for-profit rehearsal and recording studio, providing the local music community with inexpensive, welcoming and high quality facilities.
Our aim is to provide an easily accessible and well catered experience for musicians to explore and develop their creativity in an inclusive environment.
We’re located in the heart of Marrickville’s creative industrial precinct, surrounded by other independent local businesses. We’re an 5 minute walk from Sydenham station, close to local bus stops.
We have a variety of facilities including 2 fully equipped rehearsal rooms, a control room for recording, vocal booth, kitchenette, bathrooms and a communal area for our guest to makes themselves at home.

How do I contact yall?
Please contact our staff (Gabi – Studio Manager & Shorty – President) only within business hours – Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm – at gabi@pleb.city or shorty@pleb.city / 0491 615 370. We will do our best to respond to you as soon as we can but please note we do work part-time
Can I get a refund?
If you cancel 48 hours before your booking, we will give you a 100% refund. If you have any problems with trying to get your refund processed, please contact us. Please check out our refunds & returns policy for more info.
Is there parking?
There is no designated parking (sorry!) but you there is street parking around & a 4P parking area at 71 Sydenham Rd, just around the corner from us. We have lovely neighbours at Mule Roasters, and they need access to that driveway at all times. Please do not park there or else they’re gonna start giving us crappy coffees! It’s fine to load in gear there for 5 mins, but you cannot leave your vehicle there
Accessibility
The property is on the ground level but we unfortunately don’t have disability ramps or toilets onsite. If you’d like to chat about your accessibility needs to see if rehearsing here could suit you, please contact us
What gear do you have?
Please check out our gear list here! We don’t provide guitar stacks, stands, straps or things like capos and tuners. You can buy guitar picks from our vending machine onsite for $5 for a pack. You can hire a guitar amp for $10 for a gig but that’s the only backline we hire out.
Can I rehearse/record here if I’m under 18?
Yes you can! However we would like to preface that there are adults coming in and out of this space at all hours of the day, and our staff are not always present to oversee this. If you would like staff supervision during your time here rehearsing, please reach out to us
